Todd Bessemer is a global expert in market restructuring and reform, with a focus on energy, water and environmental markets. He has advised a broad array of clients – including market participants and investors, network owners and system operators, spot markets and futures exchanges, clearing houses and registries, metering companies and information providers, governments and regulators – in over twelve countries, spanning four continents.
Mr. Bessemer has particular experience leading strategic market change initiatives – including the design and establishment of markets, and the introduction of new structures, services and products – having served as lead advisor/director for a number of large, multi-disciplinary programmes. He has also undertaken a variety of other roles, ranging from the strategic to the operational, including strategy definition and business planning; market design; organization design; process definition; systems design and implementation; and market readiness.
In addition to his client work, Mr. Bessemer is responsible for directing the worldwide operations of Market Reform, which he founded in 2004. He is based out of Market Reform’s offices in Philadelphia, USA and Melbourne, Australia.
